We began our journey from Trivandrum, heading north towards Kollam, and checked into a hotel near Kulanada. Along the way, we managed to visit several temples before reaching our hotel for lunch.

The first temple, highly recommended as a must-visit, is the Varkala Janardanaswamy Temple, an ancient place of worship that has stood for over 2000 years, located near the Varkala beach. You can access the temple from two different directions: one from the beach side, where you’ll need to climb some steps, and the other from the opposite end, which allows you to drive up and then walk into the temple. Whichever route you choose, I recommend making a brief stop by the beach side, where you’ll find a beautiful tank.

This temple has a lot of history. You can read more from this link.
