This ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is nestled in Parameswaranallur village, situated approximately 3 kilometers away from Chidambaram Bus Stand and Railway Station. The presiding Goddess is known as BrahanNaayagi. It offers a serene and tranquil environment, perfect for meditation and relaxation.

This temple, alternatively referred to as Thirukkalanjeri, Singaratoppu, and Parameswara Nallur, has retained its raw and unspoiled character, left to the embrace of nature. Personally, I found its untouched state quite appealing. While the renovation of old temples is a noble endeavor, there’s a unique charm in preserving some of these temples in their original form.
