Shakti Triad

In the vicinity of Chennai, there are three Shakti temples, each dedicated to one of the three facets of Shakti. These Shakti images, identical in appearance, are believed to have been hewn from the same stone. Additionally, they are regarded as sisters to one another. These temples are devoted to the worship of three distinct forms of Shakti: Devi Thiruvudai Amman symbolizes Iccha Shakti, the power of will. Vadivudai Amman Temple embodies Jnana Shakti. Kodiyidai Amman Temple is dedicated to Kriya Shakti, the power of action.
