While en route to Kanchipuram, we came across a truly unique gem—a quaint Muchandhi Amman temple nestled beneath the expansive canopy of a towering tree. The sight reminded us of similar temples you would see in Cambodia, piquing our curiosity to explore further.

Relying on Google Maps, we followed a mud road that led us to a river crossing, prompting us to park our car and make our way across the river on foot. it was amazing to see a colossal tree standing amidst a lush rice field, with the temple nestled at its base. This hidden gem lies a mere 10 kilometers or so from Kanchipuram.

For those using the provided Google location, please be aware that you may need to park your vehicle nearby and walk the remaining distance. Locals mentioned an alternate path to the temple. It appears that this site has gained popularity over time, with the construction of another adjacent temple now in preparation for its kumbabhishekam ceremony.
